No justification for the above statement. On used cars/trucks they are "borrowed" by Management all the time at dealerships. They are not going to knock down the price too much....they know they can sell it to someone else.
It's a great "perk" when working at dealerships. He could put 500 miles on it over the weekend and not affect it's value one bit.
As noted it is my opinion but your clarification further supports my argument. How well do folks in general treat rental cars? 500 miles as a perk? Again I would be reasonably (not very) concerned that my soon to be ttuck was off on a "vacation".
