Buying new tires
Spent the day visiting several local tire shops...I am pretty tight entering my garage, so looking to probably stay stock size 265/70/R17.
One shop swore by Firestones (Transforce). Another store suggested BFG AT's. Another shop also likes BFG's (Rugged Trail T/A maybe?). This is my first time replacing the tires on the truck, so it's a lot of info to digest. I know a lot of people order online and take them to be installed...would be a lot easier to just go to a local store.
Anyway, any comments on those listed or others? We tow five or six trips a year, and prob. 90% of the time I never leave the road. I would like something more aggressive-looking than my stock Michelins, but I can't go much taller (garage). I have been told I should get 10-ply if possible? Also, we live in WV, so weather can be an issue.
A friend of mine swears by Nitto (Grapplers?). I was just surfing around on the net and noticed WM carries them...I never considered going there for tire, but who knows??
Thanks for any input!!!
