dennisbrandi, Here is what Winegard says about the plate,
"Twelve volt DC power supply for Roadstar or Sensar antennas in a flush mount wall plate. Includes on/off switch with LED, 12V DC receptacle, input for cable or antenna, built in splitter for second TV and second F jack for an outside TV source such as cable".

There is a second wall plate that looks the same but includes an amplifier for 75Ohm Winegard non-amplified antennas.

I use the receptacle for my 12V DC TV. It is always hot, even when the antenna is turned off.

Hope this helps.

The 12V DC port is just that; access to 12V DC power. However; depending on the manufacturer, it may be slightly smaller than the standard cigarette lighter type plug.

Yes DC is supplied on the coax to the amplifier in the antenna head when the switch is on. When the switch is off the cable coax which is usually found on the rear DS is used. The plug can be used for a small 12V TV.

Our 04 did not switch the two coax cables so check yours.

12 volt hole is for if you have a 12v TV. I use a inverter 100watt stanley. Has a modified sine wave and not a square wave. I use it when boondocking. TV uses only 25 watts..

The switch also switches between antenna and cable. There should be 2 wires coming into the back...one from the cable inlet on the side, one for the antenna. So, with the switch on, it turns on the amplifier and your tv gets signals from the antenna. With the switch off, your tv gets signals from the park cable inlet.

Turning on that sws provides 12v power to the antenna. There is a amplifier in the antenna head. Should work for all cnnections. It will not be compatible with satellite, need a separate connection for it.
