Wish the posting software allowed a simple like button to be pushed to indicate agreement. $11 in the grand scheme of things doesn't sound unreasonable.

BTW, I also have one mounted on my door, don't remember how much I paid for it. I could go back and look, but I do know it was not the straw that broke the camel's back.

Having a screen door handle is really a good thing to have but spending $11 seems a bit much to me. I guess if you want to use it as a towel rack too, then ok. I get that. But if all you want is a handle to close the screen door easily, just go to a hardware store and buy a handle for $3 and put in 2 screws and you're done.

Seriously? You've got tens of thousands $$$$$ tied up in your rig but $11 is too much for a purpose designed screen door handle that includes all the parts necessary for an easy installation and in brushed nickel looks great, not like a ticky tacky DIY solution, and works even better? :h

The cost for this handle, which is much higher in Canada, didn't even cross my mind when I bought and installed mine. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I didn't know they made a white one. That looks good with the other white items on screen door.

If you get the white one, it's only about $8 and some change... might be a bit more affordable for ya..

Thanks to this thread by DB....I installed one, as well.

I put mine a little higher as I can reach it from inside but won't be tempted to use it as an assist bar to enter the trailer.... and I will get maximum air flow if I want to dry a towel.

Great mod that I also did years ago. Yes, any handle from a hardware store will also work for possibly less money. The bar across the whole door has been helpful to grab anywhere on with either hand.

FAIL.

Where have you seen a handle that long at a hardware store?

We installed screen door handles on our Toyota motorhome, our Wolf Pup, and I also installed them on our new TT. My wife had a stroke 16 years ago and anything that makes life easier for her is money well spent. I also like the looks of the Camco unit better than a hardware store handle. It looks like ti belongs on the door. We also find that towels dry very quickly when hyung on there.

We do use it as a towel/dish drying mat rack as well. It beats trying to find the $3 handle with 2 screws, which is good since that is its purpose.

I did this mod a couple of years ago. Really handy, especially when your hands are full and you just need to grab something to close the door. Never used it for a towel rack though.
