I'm thinking we were dry camping in the same area last February in the Foothills of Yuma.

Able to operate from unimproved surfaces, a parachute for emergencies (engine failure), a slow cruising groundspeed, an open cockpit, relatively cheap to operate....heck whats not to like? GIDDYUP Airman. Fly safe. Signed, An envious jet jocky!!

Out of my 50 flight, I have one engine failure at 500 feet above ground and I glide down gracefully without incident. Luckily I was in an open field

what is the license requirements to run something like that? Also as a kid I remember a neighbor has one of those gyro copters, that thing was pretty cool also.

I did go far downwind and I couldn't go back to the Landing Zone about 5 miles away and I have to land on a private farm closer to main road. Manage to call someone to pick me up

We recently saw a guy flying one over Norris Lake in TN and my husband shocked me by saying he really wants to do that. I even did a little research and found a place in Knoxville that gives parasailing etc lessons. I have GOT to show him your video.
