Camper Stabilization

I have recently moved to Yuma, AZ and am using my camper as temporary home. That being said, I have been using my truck for my daily driver so the camper is off the truck and just on the jacks. Now my camper is a 2015 Lance 1172 so its a relatively new camper. That being said, while fairly stable for a short period of time it does move around some, so I finally decided to do something about it since this is going to be longer than a couple days.

Now I know Torklift makes a great product for camper stabilization in their "Wobble Stoppers" but those are over $300 and I'm just not sure how well they would work. So I went another route. I got 2 x 6 ton jacks and an 8 ft 4x6 which I cut in half, and placed on top of the jacks and then lowered the camper down slightly onto the brace. Wow....talk about stable!!! Anyway, just wanted to share.

Sorry pics kind of dark as I was doing this in the front of the headlights. If anyone is really interested I'll take a couple more during the day.

I've been doing front support all the time, not really for stabilization, but to avoid the stress water tank puts on the floor in front area.
To avoid side to side stress, I simply use singe 4x8x10 as a post in the center.
Just like camper above, my floor needs to be over a foot above the ground due to rear overhang.

I can't lower the camper all the way down as I am actively using the camper so I need to be able to dump my tanks occasionally. Anyway, the way I have it setup now is like a rock!

I store my camper on 2 stacks of 6x6s, but I lower the camper all the way down till it rests on the wood. Have you though of doing the same? Doing that eliminates the need, and expense of the extra jacks.

where i work the fleet services put a decommisioned first aid camper shell that was sitting behind our works yard up for auction.the winning bidder drove out from alberta and took it away but wasn't aware the custom built aluminum camper stands were supposed to go with the shell. they look really good under my camper now and talk about sturdy.i nap in it between our double shifts and it doesn't budge.i'd post a pic if it wasn't such a pita on this site.

Nice job. This way does work. I did something very similar to my previous Lance on occasion.

Sounds like a good solution. Do take pictures in the light.
