Campgrounds near Owensboro KY

My wife, daughter and I are planning to travel in the near future to see family in Owensboro, KY. In the past we stayed with my wife's parents, but they recently downsized and moved into a townhouse. We had always talked about taking the camper, but now have more of a reason to than ever. So, does anyone have experience with a good, clean campground in the Owensboro area that is open during the winter? We normally stay in state campgrounds. So, we can easily get by on electric hook up only as long as we have access to a shower house. We definitely don't have issues with full hook up, but don't necessarily have to have full hookup either. Any words of advice on where to stay, or perhaps more importantly where not to stay, would be greatly appreciated.
