Visited the Hot Rod Reunion at Beech Bend Park, Bowling Green, KY this past June. Arriving 2 days early, I found a nice, quiet spot near the back of the campground, not knowing this area would become "Burnout Central" every evening and into the wee hours. It was great fun. With my folding chair on top of the camper, a fine cigar, and plenty of "adult beverages" reachable through the emergency hatch, I had the best seat in the house! Even had one nitro funny car pull around for some eye-burning cackling. Learned that nitro fumes make grilled steaks taste better!!

All your truck needs now is one of these under the tailgate, for "center ID marker lamp" function instead of the old style marker lights on the tailgate from that era of truck:
My dad put one on his truck and wired it so it also does brake and turn function.

Nice setup! We drag race, too. We took the truck/camper/trailer/car out this weekend and had a blast. It rained like crazy friday night, and then sprinkled off and on saturday, but we got our passes in. Campers rock!

Awesome car & truck man! Is the car a '66? My FIL used to have a green one very similar.

I still think that is the best body style Chev. has built.
I agree.
Back in June I bought a flaming '84:
It isn't the prettiest thing, but the drive train is sound, and that was more important than beauty.

Very decent numbers, especially for normally aspirated. My .030 over 327 dyno results were a little over 1/2 of yours and at 6500 rpm I called it quits, too scary to go any higher with stock rods. I'll be 8500 is crazy loud!
