I have a large patio mat like you, 8x20'. We put a 3x6' folding table where you have the chairs and mini-table. Unless it is raining, we do not sit under the awning. I have another 9x12' patio mat the I extend from the bigger one that we put the picnic table and screen room on. We have a no shoes inside the TT policy, so walking around on the patio mats bare foot really helps us.
