I have been RV camping for almost 15 years, but still haven't found a consistent way to arrange or configure my "stuff"

Here's a photoshop diagram of how I arranged my site last time:

How do you guys set up your stuff?

I use to spend a couple hours setting up my campsite. Seating around the camper, seating around the campfire, lights strung up in various locations, and last but certainly not lest an elaborate fence set up on the side of my camper including a gate for the dogs. I would need a shower and a nap by the time I got done. Now it's 4 chairs instead of 12, no extra lights, cable leads for the dogs and I'm done in less than 1/2 an hour enjoying a cold one.

We don't use the propane quick connect for our grille, but if we did it would be on the side of the camper. The only thing that's gets put the same place every time is the shade over the picnic table. Other than that, we are there to relax, not fixate on whether or not Google Earth is going to take our picture that day.

Don't worry 'DaDubs', I thought the same as you when reading the comment about the grass. As you so rightfully pointed out, most sites I stay at have no grass.....so I share your sediment!

Sorry...That campfire looking thing is the BBQ. I couldn't find a very good picture to do my mock up. Also, the grass is there just so the background wasn't white. I haven't been to many, if any, campgrounds that park on grass...usual asphalt or gravel.

Man, it doesn't seem to matter what you post on this site, some people always seem to be self-righteous nitpickers. sorry
Someone posts a schematic of how they set up their campsite and then calls the rest of us "nitpickers"?????

All I was asking is how you set up your camp, not mock my mock up. I guess trolls will be trolls.

I set out a table, 2 chairs, the grille, and put down the awning anyway I want. Then I get a beer, coke or water and nap or help other people set up if they showup. I have met nice people everywhere, last week it wa a couple from AZ, 2 adopted dogs and adopted a cat in OK whilst we were there.

I sincerely doubt that I set things up the same way twice.

We put a table bar height next to the outlet of our trailer to house cooking appliances (coffee pot) and put the rocker and recliner near the trailer depending on the shade. Coolers go under the table. Fire rings typically away from site have our folding chairs (from a sack) around it. If the picnic table doesn't have a canopy we put one up over it and string lights. We just got a rug and have used it once so far. It didn't damage the grass because we weren't there long enough I guess. I won't use it if I think it will cause damage. I was taught to leave a place better than I found it.

Regular carpet will kill the grass, but not the woven polyethylene rugs sold specifically for camping. Here is what the grass at our site looked like after a week last summer - the rug actually protected the grass from the hot sun.

Agreed. Not all rugs kill grass as the photo shows and in my experience.

Our summer camping is usually at the lake so the extra canopy, chairs, table and fire ring are by the water. The grill and two other chairs under awing. Winter camping, our usual site the canopy and chairs sit in a patio area below the fiver.

Don't have any rigid set-up procedure or layout, just set rig in place and let the lay of the land dictate where we put our things. Happy Camping!!!

I see this all the time on this site. Every RV/camping site is different. When we camp, the table is not near our rig. We also will have a fire pit out somewhere. But normally our chairs are not next to the rig. They are way out there near the fire pit.
