Some good suggestions. Thanks.
Yeah I know my needs aren't where the market is - thus my problem of finding one. Present camper is a Ranger - not very active these days, and I want a few upgrades - but I plan on visiting them to see if repair is practical. Truck is CC LB 3500 SRW. No, I'm not looking for used - I'm looking for a camper that will sleep 2 and pack a lot of gear - quality, not age is important. Looking at Capri, it strikes me I might be able to modify a dinette area for sleeping if the opposite side is narrow enough to leave reasonable isle width. Northstar looks interesting - I'll make a visit. The Alaskan, any drop/soft sided camper, would have to be driven in the raised position because of the gear stored in the bunk, and the necessary/double wall thickness needed for winter use is undesirable.
Eureka - I like the aluminum construction, and the lower seating/bunk conversion possiblity is ideal. However, the cabover though is only 2' - too little storage there - and outside width of only 6' 6" is a loss of interior space for both storage and sleeping my 6' 4" barefoot frame. I'll bet my truck won't fit between the jacks, even if they are of the fold out type. I've had to ad jack spacers on my 80" wide camper to clear the jacks.
