I have an 830 also. I use a 32" extension bought from e-trailer. I put my hitch haul from Harbor Freight on it. To take care of the movement, I bought the "u" shaped rattle stopper and it tightens up the extension where it does not move. I carry my honda 2000 with the fuel, a small step ladder and both bicycles on it without any problem.
When I first purchased the 830, we put the hitch haul directly into the receiver and used some foam on the top rail to keep it from moving. I did not care for that as it was difficult to get items out of it with the hitch haul under the truck.
I installed lights on the back of the hitch haul, so at night the idiots that tailgate can see it and to give notice when I am turning. I use the 4 pin plug to power it.
Hey Wheelholder, do you have a link to the 32" extension?
