While I’m a Honda guy myself, I have to say some of the off-brands work pretty well and are quiet.
I still think the Honda will outlast them and parts availability is better.
Some off-brands have a hard time actually producing their full rated power and Hondas will usually deliver a bit more than their rating.
And I hereby put forth the notion that Honda EU2000s are the CHEAPEST sets to own.
A coupe years ago, I decided to see if I could sell my 12-year-old well-used pair.
They did still work perfectly. I put ‘em up for $700 each, and sold the pair to a guy for $1400. Then I ordered myself a brand new pair from Mayberry’s for $1800.
That means it cost me $400 to run two EU2000s for twelve years!
If they hadn’t still fetched a good price I’d have kept them, there really wasn’t anything wrong with them, twelve years later.
