Chevy Express backing update

Recently got a one-ton Chevy Express to replace underpowered TV. Previous posts have revealed much happiness, except backing TT into driveway. The wheelbase is longer than previous SUV, and DH could not get it into driveway with same approach. Looked as if he was going to have to back in from the right, thus having the back of the trailer out of sight. Well, we tried the 'Scoop' method from the left approach. Unbelievable! This simple maneuver saved the day. He was able to back the TT in and not have a blind side. If anyone is interested, there are YouTube videos. The best one, (too lazy to make a clicky-sorry) is a demo with Matchbox cars. Easy to understand and simple to do.

We have a 24 ft Coachmen Catalina. We got a 2011, 12 passenger 3500 Chevy Express. The hitch receiver is mounted right under the back bumper. It is lower than the Suburban receiver, so we had to flip the WDH on the stinger. Otherwise, it would have scraped the curb at the end of the driveway. Our TT is stored to the furthest left of the driveway to leave garage door accessable. Important with the 'scoop' method: You still should have a spotter. Watch for cars parked on the street, as you will come close! Don't forget to take sway control bar off, BEFORE you start backing, or it may bend. Good luck!

Thanks for the tip.
How long is your TT ? I also have an Express and am looking at a 36'TT
and I'm thinking about getting in and out of the driveway and the way to do so without having to widen the driveway, any info would be appreciated.
