Class A to 26' TT
Downsizing from my class A to a TT because my style of camping has greatly changed and the Class A does not lend itself well to backcountry Idaho.
I am new to TT section but not new to the open road forum. I had a great experience this weekend in Spokane at the RV show and purchased a Flagstaff 26' FKWS from RnR RV. They met me halfway with a deal we could both live with. I bought it on Friday and because their Airway Heights store is closed for the RV show and I wanted to tow it home on Saturday they had their Head Mechanic Scott service the trailer on Friday then meet me at 0800 Saturday morning for a 2.5 hour orientation to Flagstaff, we covered all systems outside and inside and re-winterized (much easier then my winnie) the trailer hooped up to my F350 checked the lights and brakes and I was on my way home.
I was surprised at how easy this trailer pulls without a WD hitch, it pulled straight as a string with no sway @ 60 mph and I averaged 16 MPH with my 6.0 diesel. Overall a very pleasant experience I look forward to learning new things about TT camping on the forum and by real life experiences with my new TT. I have been RVing for about 12 years.
