Cleaning NL (fiberglass) shell

I have posted my results and recommendations several times recently but the response seems minimal. I will try once more. I put ZEP acrylic finish on my 2005 camper about 5 years ago. The results are still amazing. My camper had sat over a year under trees. The roof was covered with muck and green scum in addition to twigs and leaves. I cleared the roof then I rinsed off the camper. I did not even need to wash it. There were no streaks, no dirt or stains. The finish still looked great and water still beads on the surface.

I have checked zep's web site but dont see one that appears to match what you've described. Could you post a product link or number to get an idea of what you're recommending?

Until you clean the roof don't bother cleaning anything else. The roof will continue dripping crud onto the trailer sides.

I had a Bigfoot fiberglass trailer and I sprayed Wet and Forget on the roof with good results. It keeps mold and mildew away for extended periods. Not intended to be soap; use after washing.

I used a 3M boat product that was amazing. The roof took some scrubbing to get the majority off but then buffed up really nice and stayed nice for a long time.

For just minor streaking, I just use a cleaner wax by hand.
If the surface is oxidized that may not work.
If it just won’t come clean with dish soap or too much elbow grease for cleaner wax and you don’t want or need to polish it then, for fiberglass and gelcoat with tough stains any product with muriatic acid will do the trick, easily. Most good fiberglass hull cleaner is glorified toilet bowl cleaner. (With hcl/muriatic acid)
I use gel toilet bowl cleaner for fiberglass stains.
Take care to not get it on any raw aluminum or steel surfaces or on concrete.
Concrete is ok if it’s wet and diluted quickly with water. HCL will etch the concrete.

I’m sure there are other good cleaners and suggestions too.

Jimk, I haven’t been a believer, but my enclosed trailer is red and the radius top cap is quite oxidized. I’m gonna try the zep polish on it!

It is available at Lowe's. A gallon goes a long, long way and costs under $20.

This is the Process For Applying Zep.

Red Max Pro and Zep #3 are the same product, just different names.
Red Max is no longer produced. I know Home Depot carries Zep.

You will need to clean the RV well before applying the Zep. Preparation is the key to a nice finish.

So for my original question it looks like bar keepers friend might help. I'll look for that.
