What do you mean? I have never read anything about protecting the frig?

Jeeze I've ran my fridge at well over -20C for years, never an issue but I am familiar with this "trick". It also helps to create a convection draw as well.

Camped last weekend. Weather station recorded 19 for overnight low. I drained both holding tanks before going to bed and ran off the water tank all weekend. Anto freeze in the drain traps. We honestly were warm and cozy with a recorded wind gust of 65 MPH our bunk end covers did blow off.

One more question. Now we are supposed to have at least two nites of 25 degree weather? Will the battery freeze? I have it plugged in and charging. We are leaving Wednesday and that is one of the 25 degree mornings. I have reflectex. Should I wrap the battery case with it?
