CONNECTING YOUR TELEVISION

Step 1 - Check TV's 110/120V outlet using a Volt Meter. Volt range should be within 104 to 126 Volts. If too low of volts (if CG is within a power dip / brown out condition), the TT's 110/120 outlet can be below 100 Volts. And, the TV won't work properly. re: - Click Here -

Step 2 - Check the TV's "input" selection. For some TV's connected to cable box, they are connected via HDMI cable. For some DVD and Media players, they must connect via RCA (White, Red, Yellow) cables. To activate the correct cable connection, the TV msut be selected on the correct INPUT port selection.

Step 3 - Move TV back to its previous port. If Blue Screen on previous setup, then its NOT the cable or TT's electrical outlets. Its the TV (or something inside it). re: Perhaps it needs "resetting" by a TV Repair Tech???

Not sure if yours is like this but mine has a amplifier that you use when using the antenna. It's a little button that is incorporated into one of the jacks. If on cable, it is supposed to be off.

We too have the built-in DVD player. Is there any chance that a DVD was left in there? The first time out this year that is what I found. Once I hit "eject" on the remote, it was good to go.

we have a built in dvd player and we were trying to watch a movie, but like I said, the screen was blue and I could not even get to the input menu to set it to aux. thanks for all the input

WHat are you trying to watch? Antenna, Cable, Satellite?

First, will the remote turn the TV on and off? If you have a universal remote that controls the TV and other devices, a button may have been inadvertently pushed for a cable box or something else. Make sure you push the TV button and then turn the TV on. If you still can't get the menu to come up you have a more serious problem. If you can get the menu then you need to set your input (air, cable, sat, etc.) and scan for channels. If using an antenna (like we do) you will normally set your input to air or antenna (not cable as someone suggested).

I have a Toshiba that gave me the blue screen of death. I took it to the local Toshiba dealer and he was able to reset/reboot the unit which brought it back to life.

This is my two cents. I just hooked mine up for our fisrt trip. This is what I found. The TV will need to be set to cable as the source. The white cable jack in my TT has a switch it must be in the cable position and not attenna. Make sure the three wires going to the DVD player are hooked to the Television correctly. Mine had if I recall a Red wire yellow and a white. On my TV it was red to red white to wite and yellow to green on the TV but each one is different.

OH one more thing make sure your DVD is set on aux 1 or DVD or whatever the manual suggests. With mine I believe it was AUX 1

Eyetatoo may be on the right track. You shouldn't need anything more than a power connection to get the menu. Of course, if you can't get to the menu then you can't determine your input. Do you have the owner's manual? Maybe the manufacturer has some basic troubleshooting on their website.

Are you sure you were on the proper input?
