Couplet lock for Jayco 29RLDS

I am having problems finding a coupler lock I like for my 2013 Jayco 29RLDS. Several locks have not fit because of the wide flange around the coupler. Others do not leave me feeling secure. Any recommendations for a good coupler lock for this trailer? Thanks.
  • I have one of these and really like it- plugs the coupler nice and snug.

Mine came in a set with two more keyed alike locks, one for the drawbar and the other for the coupler lever itself.

  • These are called "winter wheels" in the UK. I'm thinking of importing two pairs (one for each axle) for my TT.

As for the hitch latch, I use some token security; long shackle padlock for the coupler. For a trailer thief, it will do zero to protect against it, as they will use chains or a smaller ball that fits underneath.

For now, I use BAL X-chocks, with padlocks on those, and a thick security chain through one set of wheels.

Had the same problem with our new WhiteHawk when we picked it up from the dealer. I had several padlocks in my truck box, not one of them would pass through that latch to lock the coupler. Service tech stuck a bolt in it to get us home. I ultimately found a small Master padlock that will pass through the coupler latch and lock. I don't recall what model or the lock name, but I believe I bought it at Wally World. I use the lock only to lock the coupler when traveling; in storage, nothing.
  • I also have a claw for a tire. I keep the trailer at home, but I want to make it more difficult for the casual thief. I probably don't stand a chance against a pro. Thanks for you answer.
  • Any coupler lock is false security if you are wanting to use it when stored. Best security is a boot on one or more wheels. If you are wanting it for traveling, any lock will do.
