Anyone getting calls from your Ram dealer wanting to buy your 3/4 or 1 ton Ram? I have had them call me 4 times wanting my 2012 2500. Wondering if it would be worth it to upgrade to a 3500.
I get calls and letters countless times per year from my dealer telling me there is a huge demand for my F350, F450, Ford Freestyle, etc.
I must be a psychic because it seems every car and truck I buy, there's a HUGE demand for it two years later.
Its just a sales gimmick to get you in the dealership. Go buy a new truck if you want to. If the demand is that high for your present truck, sell it yourself and make out even better. - goducks10ExplorerUsed to get them all the time. Never answered them because I didn't recognize the number. I usually just read the message. Finally answered and talked to a young lady. Told I had no interest in trading in my 12 Ram 2500. She acknowledged my request and it's been a month and no calls.
Now if I can just get the extended warranty calls to stop. - goducks10ExplorerDbl post

Handwritted notes and letters from the dealer telling me my 2005 is in high demand and they have a waiting list of people wanting to purchase good used Rams. So far, this marketing has not worked on me. - Bionic_ManExplorerI get them as well (and used to get them on my 03). I would love to believe that there is a strong market for the last pre-DEF trucks, but I don't think that is the case.

Yep, they just want to sell you a new vehicle. Don't fall for it. - downtheroadExplorerDealers..all dealers, do it all the time.
What they really want is to sell you a new truck. They couldn't care less about the one you have now and will give you very low trade value for it. - WNYBobExplorerHave you priced a new truck? With all the trade in incentives $18,000 and over $10,000 off the new truck which can't tow as much costs more than what was the list for the one I have!
- tomkaren13Explorerand they want my car I got rid of 2 cars ago! Even traded one of them to the dealership calling. Can't stop them nor the Security system people. Oh well at least the live callers are working!!

Exactly, no different than the "you may have already won" publishers clearing house marketing. There will always be someone that responds to these types of marketing thinking the dealer or whomever else has your best interests in mind or you have the leverage in the transaction.
