Death of a D-max-not pretty or cheap

From a diesel site I visit:

stock D-max, 230 000 km (143 700 mile) They think an injector went and then it when to hell from there in 15 minutes!!

The turbo sucked up debris so it is cheaper to go find a complete engine rather than repair this one. Words of advise, if it starts running "funny", STOP!!!!!! This could happen to any diesel engine.

Wow! Sorry to hear and see that, but all engines have the possibility to explode like this. I am NOT bashing any one them, but to show you another, here is a pic of the #6 wrist pin and parts of the rod out of a '12 6.7L F350. Instant death for this engine too at 17k miles.

Here is something to look at then. :B Look at the crank and the pistons on the track.

Another one of my favorites. Look at the metal in the pan! :E

I've always got a laugh out of this picture.

I don't see that at all. No heat damage that I see on that piston.

Looks like it dropped a valve and BOOM.

X2

No temp based damage at all

Question is why continue with the racket it MUST have been making....

Let us know the price tag when you get it. Sorry you have to open your wallet so wide, it's never fun.
