Delays in camper buiddate

Called to get an update for my Host Cascade build. I signed the papers March 31, I was given a build date last of September, first of October. Build date has been pushed to end of October, first of November. Obtaining materials and components are causing the delays. I'm now thinking I may not even have my camper by the end of the year. Just venting. Barry

I wish I'd have known about the Host Cascade when I was camper shopping in 2020. I'd have probably bought one.

It's easy to tell the new from the old. The new one has slotted vents in the cover. The old school loud one had a cover with a black vent panel, with hexagonal shaped holes.

You are going to have to have a blast with your new outfit once yoo get it all put together. Having the truck camper allows us to play with our toys (sxs, boats, jeeps etc). The sxs has been a great on the island, it makes getting around and finding fish a lot easier. The truck camper can do the same thing but just not as fast or easy.

Thanks Barry. I'm not worried about it. I'm really setting myself up to retire in spring of 2023, so being without it now isn't a problem.

I've wanted to build my own (very basic) camper for a long time, so I started working on it about 3 months ago. It's usable now, but I've got a couple more things to do before I'm willing to post pictures (hopefully in Feb). I've camped in it 3 times already.

In better news, I get to pick up my SXS on Monday (1/10).

Warren hang in there . When I put my deposit down pick up was to be the last of Sept, first of Oct. I never knew where I was at with my build date. I did hope that it would have been ready for pick up before the Christmas holidays. My daughter is to marry Feb 26, 2022, with all the events leading up to the wedding it was clear we wouldn't pick it up till after that date. So with the wedding behind us we will head to mesa, arizona the first of March. We have no plans after that except to enjoy the western USA with no date to return home. Be sure to check your build sheet so as to insure everything you wanted is on that form.

As of last week, the manufacturing date on my Everest has slipped about 2 weeks from 5/24 to 6/10.
As much as I wish they could keep to the original date, I would rather they take the extra time to build it right.

I'm also happy they're willing to let me know the dates are slipping as they find out. I would rather know about the delays as they happen instead of scheduling time off and then fining out a week or two before delivery that it's going to be another month.

There's still no update on the truck, and Ford doesn't give out any scheduling until the vehicle is in manufacturing.
My dealer thinks there may few if any 2023 model Super Duties as Ford may have oversold the 2022.
