Delays in camper buiddate

Called to get an update for my Host Cascade build. I signed the papers March 31, I was given a build date last of September, first of October. Build date has been pushed to end of October, first of November. Obtaining materials and components are causing the delays. I'm now thinking I may not even have my camper by the end of the year. Just venting. Barry

Thanks greenno, happy Jack's will be used when we get to Mesa. We are stopped for the day in Crossville TN. A good first day I think. See you all tomorrow down the road. Barry

The Happyjack Fast loads will work just fine. I have been using them on my set-up for almost 4 years now. Cheaper than the Forklift fastens and I was a bit hesitant when I decided to save some $ but they work great.
Good luck on your trip and congrats again on your new addition.

I have a set of new happie jack fast loads that I got at a TC rally on the eastern shore, Va. Are they good tie downs? Has anyone used them and would be willing to share your experience with them? They were a door prize that I did not win. The lucky winner sold them to me as he did not need them. Thinking about using them to hold down our Cascade waiting for us to pick it up. Thanks, Barry

I hope she gets it all straightened out as well. Kind of a shame to put that much money into something that isn't working for you.

As a truck camper owner, I know there will be things that will always need to be taken care of. The leaks in the cab over and by the fridge are her worst issues I think. Black tank I feel is a non issue, she just needs to learn how to manage it. Hoping she gets it all sorted out. Barry

I can only imagine how she must feel buying a top end camper and experiencing so many manufacturing defects. Hope host steps up and takes care of her issues sooner than later.
Nervous soon to be cascade owner, Barry

Here's a link to one of the videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qr0uvXfGouU

There seems to be some user error involved for the black tank. (That's on another video.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qr0uvXfGouU It's hard to believe that this is a generic "Host" issue because the design has been out for years. More likely that something is in the tank that shouldn't be. Maybe even from assembly.

Hard to say about why the water came in from the slide are either. Was it out all of the way unlevel, extreme storm, etc.

Her dish issue is interesting, but it sounds to me like it's an Antenna issue not a Host issue. She doesn't seem to be so mechanically/electrically inclined based on she didn't pull the fuse for the rotating antenna.

You can argue whether RVs should never fail under any reason.

Has anyone seen the video of radioactive road tripping and the many issues this lady has with her new Host Youkon? Sure is making me nervous about my new cascade. The water leaks she has bothers me the most. I can only imagine how she must feel buying a top end camper and experiencing so many manufacturing defects. Hope host steps up and takes care of her issues sooner than later.

Thanks, that's great to hear the fire place will heat the camper. I'm gonna be real interested in the solar I have installed. It's going to be fun seeing what it will and want do. Barry

Yes, your lithium battery package can operate it no problem. With variable heat settings, the duration is also unknown. We had our camper out last weekend and knowing our typical overnight usage, we splurged with a fire for awhile before going to bed.

When on hookups, my fireplace keeps the Mammoth warm even if outside is in the 20's. I do kick the gas furnace on every once a while to pump heat into the basement if freezing since the fireplace does not.

Yea, February is here and it is the shortest month of the year. 28 more days plus or minus a day and our trip to pick up our 22 host Cascade will begin. For those with the electric fire place, is it a good source of heat for taking the morning chill away? Will my extreme solar package be able to handle it? Thanks Barry

I am very fortunate to have the new (quiet) Onan generator. I've only read about how quiet the new one is, hoping it is as quiet as has been reported on. Maybe the delays in my build got me the updated Onan. Not sure when Host ran out of stock of the old style Onan. Anyone here have real life experience with the new Onan Important thing is I will have the new one. Barry
