We always cook outside when we are out in the PU. We are now upgrading to a HTT, and I see there is no longer any such thing as an outside mounted stove. (only the RVQ).The HTT we are buying has a mounting strip and hookup for the grill it provides, but we want a stove. If I buy a camp stove, is there a way to hook it up to the existing gas hookup outside? Do I need some sort of a gas adapter to make it work?We realize we won't probably find a stove to hang from the side of the camper, but would really like to be able to use the existing gas hookup and not have to carry yet another propane tank! (or those little green ones).

I am almost in the same boat as you. But my Hybrid doesn't have any brackets for a grill. I am thinking of making a bumper mounted grill/stove bracket, adding my own quick connect, getting a grill that operates on the low pressure system of the camper, and getting a two burner camper stove and making a box for it to mount on the bumper bracket. Sounds like a lot of work, but I HATE cooking inside.

I have a foldup table, 20lb tank, "T" fitting and 2 propane lines that go to my camp stove and BBQ.....I dont like the idea of having all that heat right next to a camper, so I can set this up away from it. I even had this setup with my popup which had the external stove. It was just to close to everything for me. Maybe I am just too paranoid...lol

I have a mini version of a Home type BBQ grill. It stands on 4 removable legs and I use a 1 pound propane tank to feed it. I use it not only to grill foods but also cook using pans and pots on it. We have a Sidekick which came with the RV which doesn't get extremely hot so is perfect for pancakes, hotdogs etc. We don't cook anything 'spattery' on it.On a separate table at the edge of the awning we have a camp stove for 'messier' cooking when we don't have a fire going.Yes, the separate gas bottles are a PITA, and if we could find an adapter for the stove we'd hook it up to the RV gas, but it's better than nothing.

My COLEMAN ROAD TRIP GRILLE setup works just fine. All stores in a nice roll around tote. Easy to setup and is a very sturdy setup. We run off the 1lb canisters and they last for many meals... The ROAD TRIP is a dual burner with lots of room for cooking. I also setup a couple of folding tables up next to the trailer with the gas grill at a 90 degrees angle away from the trailer. I never felt comfortable having all that fire right next to my trailer wall anyway.

We are happy campers... Have cooked many a meals

I found a used 3 burner stove from a tent trailer turned box trailer. I used an old countertop and assembled so it hangs off the side of the trailer. The quick connect to the RVQ had the same propane assembly as the old stove. I posted some pics of it in the mods section I am very pleased with this project.
