"Truth is", IMO, if you researched and counted every topic discussed on rv.net (Tow Vehicles), fuel economy (mileage, MPG, etc.) would probably be at the top of the list. For someone at the short end of this topic, it's a real and important issue. Granted, if gas/diesel drops and stays below $2, this particular topic will take on much less of a priority. However, in the back of most people's minds (when choosing a truck), is the likelyhood that gas may go back to $4++ a gallon at some point and time--they'd want to be prepared.
I've seen very few threads expressing real concern about rolling backwards down Davis Dam.
