With the average TC, you are living with about 24 sq. ft. of actual floor space, without a really comfortable place to sit. If that doesn't bother you, you're in business. With a popup, you have to drop the top to drive anywhere. That gets old quick, but every camper is a compromise. Popups are really nice to travel with: low center of gravity and good fuel mileage. Having used them for a while, I think it is really important that you rent one for at least a few nights and do some travelling with it, just so you know what you are getting into before you commit. With the benefit of hindsight, if I didn't already own the TC, TT and the truck, I'd opt for a smaller class c. Just my $.02 worth.
