dvitale300, thanks for doing your part in rescue. We've been in rescue for most of our 52 years and it's for sure a win/win. Fully understand you're trying to do the best you can for your dogs and in the safest way. This would certainly be a bit easier if you had a couple of 10# pups. It appears that you may not have any choices other than the TT. Suggest you not just gate them, but use your wire crates and secure them well. Would not feed them just before traveling and water is a mess, but ice cubes will get you through the day. When you make the potty stop, just add more ice cubes to their bowls. Further down the line you may find that a Class C or A will work better for you. Friends in FL rescue and also show Irish and Gordons. They have a C, modified the rear area to put the crates securely and everyone is together.
Sorry you ended up with some ignorant comments...happens sometimes. FYI....never, never ask about tires! It'll make this thread seem tame. Trust me on this.
Good luck on your show and thanks again for the rescues.
Good luck on your show. We've never done shows, just our rescues and love being able to help as many as we can.
