Hey
Are there any Carriage Domani owners out there? I have had my DT30000 since new at 2009. I am now going to upgrade it and am checking to see what others have done. I am open to any suggestions or comments.
My list so far is:
Adding another A/C unit (13,5 or 15,0..not sure yet)
Big Foot leveling sysytem (probably 4 point)
Plug it Right stabilizers
Audio/Video systems thru-ought (surround sound & flats)
Satellite dish roof mount
Carefree awning on left side w/sunshade screen (rather than slide topper)
Upholstery/Replace existing sofa sleeper and 2 parlor chairs
Replace belly skin (for easier access)
Tow hitch for double tow golf cart (allowed in TX up to 65')
Rear camera
Additional storage (somehow)
Tire pressure sensor system

I have two, 12 ft. and 8 ft. Beats me why Carriage does not put a top flange on their slides. I know they claim the double seals squeegee off the debris but they don't work with fir needles. There were gaps in the corners of the seals which were a source of water intrusion with the slides closed. The slide toppers were a good add as they have solved those problems and made things more convenient when packing up. I had to remove the gutters above the slides to install the toppers.

What size is your topper? My DT3000 has a 18' slide. The shop tried to install a Carefree but say it won't work and that we may have to go with the Dometic instead. To my dislike. Do you or anyone else have thoughts on this subject?

Yes, we have the side kitchen with rear couch. 24 nights so far and over 3,000 miles; really enjoying it.

Stephan and Martin, I would be interested in how your first trips went. I had some towing set up problems that I needed to address to reduce chucking. Perfect now.

Kevin, that is a Badazz bumper pull. I'll bet you are the center of attention at the CG. Good luck with your ambitious mods.

Durb, Thanks for the post. It sounds like you have the side kitchen, right? Stefan and I both have the rear kitchen and the same light switch question. Still don't know what it does.

Did find out how to open the ceiling lights and replace the bulb with bulbs from Home Depot, sweet.

Domani owner here. We bought our 2008 DF300 a year ago. Due to circumstances the 7 year old trailer had never been slept in. Most of my problems I had to deal with were shakedown problems that should have been fixed under warranty. As a result, I have become pretty familiar with most of the systems on the trailer. I had to change the mount system for the two tables as stock was unworkable. Built cushion extenders for the rear couch so that it sleep worthy. Installed slide toppers. Installed Yamaha sound bar. I have a row of 4 switches by the door; rear sconce, light above door, right front outdoor light, left front outdoor light.

I know the Domani community is small for these beautiful trailers. Feel free to PM to share.

Hi Martin DYN,
I am just in the process to buy a DF302 as well and I am in SoCal too!
Good to know there are more around that love the design of the Domani.
We are looking so forward to our first trip with it!

We have everything set up now for our first trip on Monday. Transferring all the "stuff" from out 35ft motorhome to the trailer was a project but we did it. Man o man can we collect never used stuff in the motorhome, did away with a lot of things.

I still don't know what the second wall switch by the door turns on. the wall sconce is one switch but the other does nothing that I can see.

Let me know how yours is going.

HI, I just brought home my "new" 2008 Domani Fresco/DF302 yesterday.
We are so crazy about this 5er. I am looking for someone who can tell me something about the trailer I have questions about. Finding someone who has one of these is difficult.Where can I buy replacement ceiling lights? What do some of the light switches operate? What brand is the kitchen faucet so I can get a replacement/parts? wow I'm just getting started. any help please.
