I hope its got better construction than my '15 1160. Been back to the dealer 4 times already and still have at least one more trip to make.

We looked at the Lance 1172 in February. For us, having the fridge away from the kitchen (like the EC1160) and the TV facing the dinette made us look for a different floor plan. It's nice to see a variety of TC's in production again after the shrinkage - There seems to be a model for most people's needs/wants.

We went with the Lance earlier this year because the 3 slides on the Eagle Cap seemed to add too much weight. Plus the 1172 had a factory installed Solar panel. So it was an easy decision and we paid less.

I would drive DH crazy with replacing the furniture in the EC 1200. Already change everything in our 5er.

Show me the class C with 4x4 that can tow 10k lbs and is under 30 feet long.

And you can remove the camper and have a truck which is useful for a few things.

In general, a truck with a TC has better towing capacity and 4wd over a Class C. Once you get into the Super C, you can have these items but they are typically a larger footprint and definitely more expensive than a Ram 5500 with an EC1200 (my example).

You also have the option to mix and match your upgrades verses buying a unit that is not so easily re-configurable. Many threads have argued the pros and cons in the past.

They've lost me on why someone would want this over a class C and at a much higher price overall price.

1. The dual 20 lb LPG cylinders should have been bigger. It's not an issue if you don't have a LPG genset.

2. I would prefer the queen bed with more closet space over the king in his unit.

3. Mixed feelings on a loose dinette over fixed U-shaped. It depends on setup and takedown effort.

4. TV seems to be oriented more for dinette than couch and would stick out if rotated.

I'm not really a fan of the big overhang, but not that 11 1/2 is that much better than 12.
