I have a 48 inch extension and you young guys are a lot faster than me in installing and removing. I get even slower when the need to pull a trailer arises while the camper is loaded and I have to do it from a creeper.
🙂 I don't know about the young guy part. I'll be the big seven O this year.
Agree installing or removing the Supertruss with the camper on is a real bear and is a lot harder than if the camper is not on. Generally a little planning can avoid needing to remove/install with the camper on.

1. Why would they have to be disaassembled?
2. Where would you be pinching your fingers?
Guess I maybe a klutz but when sliding out the truss the tubes collapse on one another. Fingers beware because it hurts!
Sounds like its not assembled correctly. Mine has plates on both sides in two places that bolt the two tubes together. No way they will collapse.
