Three weeks ago my dad bought a new F-150 eco-boost. He called me this morning and told me the dealership had to send a tow truck out to tow the truck in. It wouldn't start.He told me was had a couple times last week where it didn't want to start and after attempted tries, it finally started. Yesterday he went out to start it and could not get the doors to unlock. When he finally did, different lights on the dash would intermittently go on. The truck would not start again and the blinkers and flashers would intermittently go on.The dealer came out today with a flat bed tow truck. Got it started but could not get it out of park. They finally got in on the truck and hauled it away. Anyone heard of similar issues?I have a feeling he is going to wish he had purchased a 2014 silverado.

things happen. I have two friends with new F 150 4x4 and love them , one has 38k on it already not one problem. your dads could just be a computer problem. or a freak short . tell us what they find in the end. with all the flashing lights etc .I.d bet a bad computer.

Sounds like nothing more than a dead battery

Either that or a bad body control module. Sorry to hear and hope he's back on the road soon.

I have a 2011 F150 FX4 Eco, 50k, tow a 9800# TT, no problems at all,,I agree with Krusty, dead battery or a bad ground.

Almost certainly sounds like a loose battery terminal to me.

Eco boost under 800 miles and had to be towed to dealer

If it were someone that has posted smack about the EB then I would agree but this guy from what I can find has not. So maybe just maybe he was looking for some information and not trolling. I know some think if anyone posts something negative adout their Kool-Add flavor they must be a troll right?

He wasn't looking for a solution for his Dad. His Dad already had the solution (he had it towed to the dealer).

The OP wasn't asking for any help, wasn't asking for anyone to diagnose the problem... he simply came on here to bash the Ecoboost and throw some shots at "dumb ole dad" who is probably gonna wish he bought a Silverado. The entire purpose of this thread was to bash the Ecoboost.

God forbid someone post about how "stupid" Dodge is using a VM diesel instead of the Cummins in their new truck and I bet you'll post some replies too.
