Open up the truck's 7-pin Bargman connector to see if there's a stray strand of wire that may be shorting one contact to another, which can happen if the wires aren't soldered but are secured in place with screws. You may also find that that 7-pin Bargman is actually a short adapter that converts to a round GM connector ... if so, just replacing that adapter may solve your problem.
