Eureka Truck Campers are no longer :-(

Just thought that I'd pass on some information that might be relevant to some. I'm sad to say that Bill Baldwin, the owner of Eureka Campers passed away last month and the family business is planning on shutting the doors at the end of this month. They are no longer accepting orders or building campers.

Sad to see them go. Eureka Campers certainly were a unique product with their own philosophy and following.

Here is the obituary for the owner and founder Bill Baldwin:

Thank you for posting that announcement. Bill and I talked for about 2 hours when Yoly and I first went up to visit the facility and place our order. He was a very likeable guy and I enjoyed our conversation immensely. We discussed the small camper concept and the novel and unique approach he had for truck campers especially in light of the sparse selections available for half tons. Our experience in owning 4 travel trailers and 3 truck campers previously prompted him to ask many questions about our likes and dislikes. He was very excited about the fact that I planned to feature his product in our typical camping videos on our YouTube channel. So far, our videos with the Eureka have had over 150,000 views so I'm guessing he would be happy with our enthusiasm :)

They are closing their doors at the end of the month. I've posted this video here before but will repost it for those who didn't see it. This is the second of four videos I made documenting the Eureka project .......

Phase 1 of my upgrades and mods.

Click the box in the upper right corner at the beginning of the video to see Phase 2 or the boxes at the end of the video for Phase 2
  • So it goes with a family business if the kids aren’t interested and/or the business doesn’t make any money.
