exhaust brake light

2015 ram 3500
book says first time I push button the orange light comes on. the 2nd time I push button the light should move to the right side and turn green, and then on message center, it should show AUTO

my orange light never moves to right side, and never turns green. it does shoe AUTO

when I am in auto, when I touch brake it is supposed to activate exhaust brake at that speed, mine does nothing.

any ideas. my neighbor has a 2500 and it all seems to follow the manual.

    Obviously your 'indicator lights' are not syncing up with EB Mode----dealer should check software/programing

    Yellow -----FULL Exhaust Brake Function. Aggressive Exhaust Braking to SLOW vehicle (Very aggressive with Tow/Haul ON)
    Let off accelerator pedal and EB should slow vehicle (downshifting etc as needed )

    Green -----AUTO Exhaust Brake Function. Smart EB/Less aggressive ----designed to maintain vehicle speed and slow it down as needed
    Let off accelerator pedal to activate

    My 2500 follows the manual, but sometimes, if you are moving too slowly, there is no exhaust braking in either mode. If yours isn't going green, then it sounds like a malfunction. My display also says which mode that it's in for a few seconds, when I change it.

    Mine does not move on the EVIC, colors follow the Yellow Full and Green with "Auto". Chris
