I think you may get some benefit from from the larger capacity rear cover if you are towing close to or over your GCWR, but just carrying a TC is not that hard on the differential gears. My Ford F250 had no issues with 19K+ lbs GCW with it's 23K lb GCWR. Yes, the differential would get warm to the touch after pulling a long mountain pass but never so hot I worried about lubricant breakdown or heat tempering the gears.
