I really don't like the shift pattern of this truck. It wants to lug the heck out of the engine while going up hills at low speeds and I keep forcing downshifts. Then, it wants to drop to 2nd or first going back down. I am finding that I prefer shifting manually. Being a Ford me Ecoboost is somewhat that way but not as severe. The F250 really isn't as stable as I had hoped when using a weight carrying hitch. I am going to try putting the weight distributing hitch on and see how I like it.
Is the Ford tranny a learning one? Maybe you need to drive it like you stolen it for a while, so it learns what you are doing with it?
