"However I don't see how you can do an accurate evaluation without both trucks being optimized."
Because I don't care what they do under optimum conditions. I care what they do when I am driving so that is how I test them. If I can figure out a decent way to do an acceleration test on the two it will be how I drive, one foot for both pedals, no brake checking and whatever turbo lag the two engines exhibit. Personally, I would find the tests TFL trucks conduct to be more valuable if they were conducted the way I drive. And, if you read the thread I started on what fuel people use you will see that so far all but one don't mess with premium. As I said earlier, if anybody wants to do or fund different testing send me a check to make it worth my while and I will do it your way. On my dime, I do it my way. If you don't like the way I do it just dismiss me as a crackpot and go away. Don't hijack my thread by making it about my clearly disclosed techniques.
