Looking at 2016 F250 XLT crew cab short bed trucks,gas model shows 2755 payload on door and diesel shows 2122 lbs with a option on it called camper pkg- upgraded front & rear springs and stabilizer bar. Is 2122 lbs the average for most F250 what options do you have if your is above that? The F350 had 3203 lbs payload, just thought 250 would be a little more with diesel,

My 2015 gas,4wd Xl work truck with sno plow pac has payload of 3200 lbs .
Only regret is not getting 18 inch tires

The diesel engine weighs much more than the gas engine. F250 has a GVW of 10,000 if you move up to a 350 you can order one with a GVW of up to 11,500 so you could increase your capasity by 1500 lbs.

Diesel engine weighs a lot more than the gas engine...the extra weight of the diesel subtracts from you available payload.
