The picture of the FF is a newer one (mine is in a 2005 AF 1150)mine has the on/off knob with the speed control in one corner next to the rocker switch for intake or exhaust and the vent knob diagonally on the other side... no other controls.
Completely baffled ready to give up and find a shop ....that can fix it...not much confidrnce in that outcome!!!
