FIC3500 Jack- Light Works, Jack Doesn't

Plugged the trailer in for the first time since winter storage & had to crank the jack by hand even though the light works so there is power to it. I thought there was a circuit breaker inside the jack but I don't know if it's manual or automatic. Anybody with experience on one of these? It's still under warranty so I don't want to take it apart just yet. I do have a battery installed but it is done although I assumed being plugged in there would still be power to the jack. Thanks.

The jack will not work without a battery. I played that game with my jack for about a year, thinking it was the battery. Charging it, testing it, charging it again. In the end, it was the jack that was slowly freezing up (rust). Finally, I could not even turn it manually.

It is true that the light will work on minimum power from the battery and the jack will not. Hopefully it is just the battery for you.

How much power ? Light requires very small amperage , jack requires a lot more , battery to weak or possibly wire to jack corroded or crimped , or bad jack ?
