First time pulling a fifth wheel.....ever.

We picked up our first fifth wheel today. Sold the TT about a week ago. Dropped a B&W Companion in the 2012 ram 3500 and made the round trip to get the fifth. Pulled like a dream.

That's a nice camper. I really like that flat roof, opposed to the 5er roofs that are 2 levels. It looks like a 5er but does not look like a "monster" 5er, and even has 3 axles! So I know it's big! But it doesn't look "that" big. I think the difference is the flat roof.

Oh ... and ... nice truck too!
Congrats!

We really like it so far. It's a 2014 that our friends bought new last year and used once. Things changed in their life and we bought it from them. It feels huge compared to our old TT since its 43 feet long, but the real difference is in height. I don't like underpasses any more. LOL. It feels so tall.

Congrats on the new addition! So honestly, how does it compare to towing a travel trailer? I'm about to make the switch to a fifth wheel too,but not anywhere near the size of yours. LOL! I've been towing a travel trailers for years but never a fifth wheel. I'm curious to see if there is much of a difference.
Best of luck with it!

Kevin

Towing was way better, even being about 4500 or more pounds heavier now. It was windy, and I felt nothing. The only thing I have to watch is turning. The fifth wheel really cuts the corners. Other than that, it's been a great experience so far.

Forgot to mention that hitching and unhitching is even easier now.
