First Trip Down

Well if you've followed any of my previous posts, I lost the single friction sway control and had a reese dual cam system installed we couldn't have picked a better day I had it done Friday and was it windy im talking windy. So we started making the hour and a half trip to the campground and I really luv the dual cam set up sure I felt it a little but I never felt out of control. If we would have had our old set up 1500crew Silverado 29 foot wildwood no slides that thing would have been all over the road. The Ford f150 screw eco MAX TOW didn't miss a beat. Once again I REALLY can't say enough about this truck. I got the new TT set up with relative ease. The 2 problems I had were upon arrival I noticed a hinge on a cabinet door popped loose in transit. I dewinterized before we left I turned one valve the wrong way for the hot water heater so I spent fri and sat trying to figure out why we had no hot water, this am it dawned on me cold going to water heater was on hot coming out was on and the valve between the two was on as well I closed it and bingo HOT water. The wife and kids had a good time So did our 4 dogs. The trip home the max tow once again didn't miss a beat zero sway combination 2 lane and interstate no problem. Can't wait to hit the road again in a couple weeks HAPPY CAMPING

  • Great report. The Reese Dual Cam is a great tool but often times the installers don't know enough about them to fine tune them. I would suggest you get the instructions and recheck the final adjustment one more time to be certain you get the full benefit from it. When properly adjusted it is an amazing piece of equipment.
