Some people do raise their kids to respect rules and things. I just dont get the problem with the handgun thing. A lot of people dont camp on concrete pads and have their blenders and icemakers out on the table with campers on all sides 10ft apart. I have a friend that owns property about 20 mi from the OP and just the other day his trail cam had 4 mountain lions on it just 100ft of where they camp. I dont know about you but the gun on the table is surely quicker to get to than having it locked up in a cabinet and the ammo somewhere else when the big kitty is preying on your children. Just sayin
