There are A LOT of assumptions flying around on this thread.
First and foremost is the assumption that I allow my children unsupervised access to firearms, knives or anything else. I have been a full time dad since the kids were born. If you think they don't get supervision you are wrong. Where from anything posted do you claim the moral high ground and make that assumption? I am actively involved in firearm safety programs and currently working with our city council to further educate firearm owners on safe storage methods. Look in the mirror, perhaps the person you are concerned about is standing in front of you. It certainly should not be me.
This thread IS about the things my entire family enjoys. That includes shooting AR15's, AK47's, full auto, suppressed, handguns, shotguns and living animals. We prefer to eat organic free range wild game. We like to know where our food comes from. We respect our environment and each other. We choose not to cast dark assumptions on others just because of our own personal bias.

I hear you . I posted a picture of my son,and I shooting my AR on my Facebook page, and I though half my friends were going to *#&* their pants. Funny how the media brain washes folks. My Dad took me out in the woods at 14, handed me his 12ga. , and said have fun, just don't shoot in my direction. That was all the safety lessons I received, rest was common sense, but we don't have much of that around anymore.
