Hello,
We are new to this form. We hope to find some information about the Flagstaff V-Lite travel trailers. My husband and I have been contemplating buying the 30WFKSS model. We live in Salt Lake City and only recently saw a v nose trailer on our way to Glacier National Park.
We were very interested in the shape and floor plan. This was the first time we have seen a trailer with a v nose. We have been rving most of our lives. There is only one dealership with the V-lite trailers in the intermountain west. We are wondering why? We have read many posts on this form and almost all V-lite owners are very east of Utah. We are a litte curious as to why there aren't many in this area?
We have read that there can be alot of sway while towing, does an equalizer hitch solve that? We currently tow a 27 foot Fleetwood Orbit with an 2500 dodge ram and an equalizer, with no problems.
We are also concerned about the length and being able to fit into campgrounds that have a tight fit like Yellowstone, Glacier and Yosemite.
If there is anyone out there that can shed light on any of our concerns please reply. Also if there is anyone that lives out west that owns a V-Lite, please reply. We would be interested in your experience with this type of travel trailer.

Thanks, Dennis and Jann

I have the V-Cross Vibe 826VFK and we bought because of the floor plan and is the first slide-out trailer we've owned. We prefer the bath next to the rear bedroom. I find it tows the same as my 3 prior SunnyBrooks, all about the same weight, and I get about 1 MPG better gas mileage with the V nose with the same tow vehicle. That's over a 10% improvement. I originally started with a friction sway control hitch setup and found less sway upgrading to the Reese dual cam. The Vibe has an Equal-i-zer 4 point hitch and it is better yet. I visited the V-Cross factory in northern Indiana last summer. Perhaps all the V nose trailers by Forest River are made there thus the lack of product in the west. We have been to SLC several times with our Vibe and to AZ twice so mountain travel is not an issue with this trailer. You have more truck than I do which should be a plus for you.

I can't talk about the 30, but I have the V-Lite 21 WRS. Before this unit, I had two Sunnybrook TT's. I have found the V-Lite comparable to the original Bunny B's. We are on our third season with no issues. I switched from a Husky to an Equalizer hitch. Most times I forget it is back there. I'm sure the 30 ft will be felt. But I think you will be happy with it if you decide to go that route. We have the front bathroom and love the space. You can actually bath and get dressed in one room instead of having to the bedroom. Just make the best choice for your family.

Thanks, myredracer. We will definatly put that on our list to check out. We are concerned about the construction, the main reason we are wanting to replace the Orbit. We hope to upgrade to a better built trailer, but we are picky about floor plans.

I don't know anything particular about the make and model, but I would take a look at the fame. If it has I-beams that are fabricated from 3 pieces of sheet steel welded together and looks like a "regular" forged I-beam, I would think twice about getting one. I have seen this type of frame on a V-lite before and don't know if they are on all of them or changed in certain model years. This frame has a lot more flex in it which can cause problems.

Just my 2 cents...
