For the West River Rats (and anybody else)

We just went to Pirates Den Parker Strip (Parker AZ) This is south of Lake Havasu AZ on the Colorado River. The resort is newer I believe 2 years old. It's absolutely spotless. Two restaurants one outside with a huge bar in the middle. The food is good (not bar food) Bands play on a community beach. I would recommend a front spot for your own beach and cabana. Slips are first come first serve and you can beach jet skis and boats on your beach while you stay. They have a boat launch. Super kid friendly but not over run with kids. Full hook ups. Cites are 25x60 plus the beach area in front. I'll give this place 9 stars our of 10 cause it's pricey. About $75 a night. $95 on weekends ouch. However this price does weed out the riff raff.

It's kind of hokey. You pull through with the TV pulling across the walkway out on the sand. The sand is packed like you would see at your local playground. It's not like beach sand. Once unhooked you simply drive and park behind your TT. I really liked it. You then back out on to the road when you leave.

Are you required to pull in that way? My TT works better with the "pretty" out the back. Um, thinking it through I guess you would be forced to go the way designed for the site (otherwise your door would be on the wrong side).

They have about 10 cites with the pedestal on the other side. Otherwise you have to pull through.

The sister location The Pirates Cove Resort located along the Colorado River at Ft. Moabi near Needles is another happening place. Outside and inside dining and bar. Can dock your boat at the rivers edge in there marina, Campsites and Cabins for rent.
The Pirates Den in Parker and the Pirates Cove in Needles are places not to miss if you are in the area.

Yep we stayed there a while ago. Got a group peninsula. With our own beach. Rumor is they have the same owner or did. I love the river 105 hot and dry and on the water all day!

Are those pull in sites? How does one get the tv out; through the sand? Looks very nice.
