That reminds me of a co-worker of mine. He bought a Ram 6.4L Laramie. Said he didn't want to pay the $8k for the diesel option yet paid $11k for the Laramie option which left me scratching my head.
If your going to take more time going up and down the hills, you best be comfortable. Personally, I don't spend the money for a High Country or Denali, but I am all in at the LTZ/SLT trim level. The gas trucks I bought, cause I didn't want to spend the money for a diesel for the purpose the truck filled, were still upper trim levels. If I have to put in more hours or generate more income to make the dollars work to get into something more comfortable, for me it is important enough to do that.
