One being the production of the Focus destined for the US market. Production was to be moved to an existing plant in Mexico. That plan changed to moving it to an existing plant in China. After further evaluation, primarily driven by tariffs and low US sale volume, the US Focus was scrapped. Neither move will take place and no more US Focus offerings. No added jobs.
Ford is in negotiations with VW. The intent is to assemble a small amount of VWs in existing Ford plants utilizing existing Ford labor. No added jobs. Possible white collar layoffs.
