It's good to know where you stand even if you are over.
Just for the record, I'm under but just under. On my longish trip to Yellowstone I weighed on the way back with full tanks all around with all of our stuff only two of us with my Brittany.
Steer Axle - 5720 Drive Axle - 8680 Gross Weight - 14400 This is for a truck that is 14500 GVWR. My SRW had a 11400 GVWR, but also weighed 1400 lbs less even with my 19.5s on it. Yes, I was about 1000 over with the SRW much of the time.
However, let's not pretend the 11 1/2 ft campers carrying everything including towing and back seats loaded are under on all DRWs. I'm sure they are even more over than many SRWs with smaller campers and who watch what they carry. The truth is the new SRWs can carry a giant load and are within a few hundred lbs of the lower capacity DRWs because they weigh more!
