Front bunk trailers

Looked up your floorplan of your Jay Feather 26S. The Jay Flight 26BH and 28BHS are rear bunk floorplans but have the same front bedroom space as your current trailer. In fact, bunkhouse or not, most none slide, slide, or superslide trailers all have the same front bed room configuration.

The only way it's going to be different is going with a heavy, 3/4 ton required trailer that has dual slides, one for the dinette/sofa and one for the bedroom. You won't find a bedroom only slide to easily.

I think you'd be happy with the 26BH or 28BHS if you're happy with your 26S. I really like our 26BH and chose it over the 267BHS (now the 26BHS) and the 28BHS. Really like this floorplan and it's walk area isn't any smaller than the 1/4 slide models as your 26S or the 28BHS. You do gain more length space with the 28BHS but's 1.5' longer than the 26BH also.

Good luck in finding a front bunk model. I never seen any except with those super short 72" or 70" bunks on an ultra ULTRA light and small 21' trailer bumper to hitch or shorter. Then again there's those rear slide bed models that offer front bunks but that rear slide bed is more cramped than a pop up bunkend.

Arctic fox trailers are nice but more money then I wanted to spend.

Arctic Fox Queen sized bed up front and built to last and use 4 seasons. roof is made to walk on. Walls are aluminum with a 2 x 2 wood frame inside the aluminum. They will customize any trailer I understand.

DW likes the white hawk floor plan. My concern with the light weight trailers are how well they hold up. Not the biggest fan of the luan floors. Ours has some spring to it in the high use area.

Yeah we are looking at new or close to new. I will check out the models you guys suggested. Glad there are a few more to chose from then what I thought.

are you looking at brand new trailers? there are several out there with the front bunks and rear queen slide, KZ (I think) has a model 2505s. Dutchmen also had one. We are looking at an Outback 26rs. I really like the idea of the front bunks and the rear slide.

Just picked up a Jayco white hawk 33BHBS. We love the floor plan. You might want to check that out. The bunks are up front with a rather large master suite in back.

My friends have a Palomino Puma that has a front bunkhouse. Queen bed in the rear, complete with slide out. Very roomy. Not sure of their model, though.

My Kodiak 240 KSSL has the front bunk design with a rear king slide and big u-dinette side slide. This give tons of room at the back. My only compliant is the front bunks are quite narrow, my one teenage son has out grown them and now sleeps on the pull out couch, but that OK, because we now have the top bunk as a clothing storage space.

This is a Keystone trailer, so if you are looking for something different, I believe Jayco makes the exact same floor-plan, but I like the Kodiak's interior better. We got the version with the wood plank flooring look, Jayco didn't have that.

My outback terrain 260trs has a front bunk area with slide, and a rear slide king bed. May be worth looking into. I know I sure love it.
